William Wood Dunkirk

I collaborated with William Wood Watches to design this limited-edition Dunkirk watch, commemorating the actions of London Fire Boat Massey Shaw during the evacuation of Dunkirk as part of Operation Dynamo.

The case takes its inspiration from the boat, particularly the large water pipes that weave their way through the engine bay for its original purpose, to put out dock fires.

The dial design is inspired by the Engine Order Telegraph that was used to communicate between the wheelhouse and the engine room, including instructions for when to pump water.
